Strategic base
in southwest Kythira.

Drymonas is a traditional settlement in southwest Kythira, built amphitheatrically at an altitude of 370 meters. The village has deep historical roots, as the surrounding area was an agricultural lung of the island since the Venetian era, protected from pirate raids thanks to its mountainous terrain. «Kirkinezi» dominates the area, located exactly opposite the church of Agia Marina with its characteristic Kythirian bell tower.

The location is truly strategic, combining absolute peace with direct access to the entire island.

It is just 3.5 kilometers from cosmopolitan Livadi and 5.5 kilometers from the imposing Chora with its Venetian castle. At the same time, just 3.5 kilometers away lies idyllic Melidoni – the most beautiful and wind-sheltered beach on the island, with stunning views of the islet of Chytra, where myth says the cradle of love is hidden.

Drymonas is the ideal spot for the traveler seeking accommodation in a quiet settlement, in touch with the tradition and history of the place – a starting point to discover the beauties of Kythira.
